Anika’s path to becoming an Alchemist is as unique and colorful as a well-blended balayage. Though she always had a spark for the beauty world, she first followed a different kind of curiosity—earning a degree in Behavioral Neuroscience. But no matter how fascinating the human brain was, her heart kept drifting toward the salon chair.

As a proud member of a military family, Anika has called many places “home.” But it was the charm of Olympia that truly captured her heart—and now, she’s beyond excited to plant roots and begin her hair journey right here at The Alchemist’s Beauty Lounge.

After graduating from Evergreen Beauty College (just down the road on the west side of Olympia!) and completing an externship with us, she’s officially stepped into her role as one of our magical makers. ✨

Anika loves all things hair and finds joy in learning her guests’ stories, understanding their hair dreams, and helping bring those visions to life. “Making people feel confident and beautiful is the most fulfilling part of this journey,” she says. “If I had to pick one favorite part of doing hair—I simply couldn’t. I love it all.”

We are excited to announce Anika’s promotion to Associate Level 2 in her journey through the Associate program! Over the past two months, she has made remarkable progress. She will be available for online scheduling, offering services that include haircuts, conditioning treatments, all-over colors, and root touch-ups. Additionally, she will be taking on traditional dimensional highlights. For specialty services such as balayage, blonde end tipping, and on-scalp lightening, these will need to be discussed in person and approved by her lead stylist. We look forward to witnessing her continued growth as she expands her ability to provide more services each day!
